As a Cloud Security Engineer, you’ll play a role in our cloud security function to ensure customer data is secure and private, and that the company’s systems are protected in the cloud. You will execute critical cyber security operations activities - vulnerability management, analysis, threat hunting, event management, and recovery. This hands-on position requires strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams to engineer and support data technology solutions that comply with the company's information security policies and regulatory obligations. The candidate will have the ability to identify, document, support, and implement cloud security guardrails and configurations in a complex and multi-cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be part of a team to develop, implement, and support cloud security solutions across multiple cloud environments
  • Provide hands-on technical expertise to design, engineer, deploy and deliver secure Cloud services including driving improvements in technical architecture, standards, and processes.
  • Leverage cloud-native and 3rd Party tools to provide insight into the current cloud security posture
  • Detect, review, and make recommendations regarding cloud security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Develop playbooks and automation for the repeatable deployment of system components, and perform routine management/deployment tasks
  • Hands-on technical expertise in Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) platform security, automation, integration, and deployment


Essential Experience and Technical Skills


  • 2+ years combined security experience
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS or Azure, security focus preferred
  • Experience with cloud-native design and development methodologies


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cloud Security or 3+ additional years of related equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with Azure Security Center, AWS Security Hub, and GCP Security Command Center
  • Knowledge of modern enterprise and security architectures, their challenges, common approaches to overcome their challenges, and their inherent security strengths and weaknesses
  • Azure, AWS, GCP, and other cloud-related security certifications. Additional certifications are also welcome
  • Knowledge of network and web-related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, TLS, routing protocols)
  • Skills with scripting languages such as Python, Javascript, Bash, etc.
