Get Certified: The Blockchain Architecture Mini Course
As we navigate the intricate landscape of blockchain development, the need for a nuanced approach in the architecture of blockchain-based products becomes increasingly apparent.
Crafting such architecture is not simple, requiring a blend of technical prowess, strategic foresight, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges within security, regulatory frameworks, and financial dynamics.
Join Fireblocks summer program to support and educate technical practitioners and leaders, and to provide the fundamental knowledge for building robust and secure blockchain-based products.

The Fundamentals of Blockchain-Based Products Architecture
The blockchain system architecture requires engineers and tech leads to make decisions involving security, regulation, and financial considerations, in addition to standard software architecture concerns that do not exist in other domains in the same way.
In this session we will introduce the different aspects of blockchain architecture and discuss the need for a blockchain specific architecture expertise.
The 101 Guide to Mastering Transaction Approval and Validation Flows
- Understanding the fundamentals of transaction approval flows to navigating the labyrinth of compliance regulations such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards and Know Your Transaction (KYT) flows.
- Learn how to implement structured approval processes to prevent unauthorized transactions, reduce fraud risks, and ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards.
- Explore strategies for whitelisting addresses, setting internal approval policies, and integrating automation while maintaining robust security measures.
- Discover the significance of segregation of duties in both automated and manual processes to strengthen security and control across your operations. Gain insights into leveraging external providers and cutting-edge technologies to enhance the integrity, trustworthiness, and reliability of your blockchain transactions.
SMPC is Easy, if You Don’t Care About Security
In this session, we will go into the fundamentals of secure multi-party computation, how to get started with MPC, and the complexities of making MPC wallet setups actually secure.
- Learn how to choose a good MPC protocol
- How to implement the protocol well
- Testing and auditing your implementation
- Getting to grips with secure enclaves.
Designing a Robust Withdrawal Flow
In the fast-evolving landscape of retail-facing crypto businesses, the withdrawal flow stands as a critical touchpoint for user satisfaction and operational efficiency. Users demand swift, secure access to their funds, making it essential to design a withdrawal system that meets these expectations without compromising on security or cost-effectiveness.
During this session we will explore the intricacies of crafting a seamless withdrawal experience and delve into the distinct characteristics of UTXO-based and account-based blockchain models, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities.
Hands-on workshop
In this hands-on lab the participants will create their own Fireblocks Sandbox environment, create, deploy and mint their own simple NFT collection through the Fireblocks system by using tools like the Fireblocks Hardhat plugin, Fireblocks Web3 Provider, Fireblocks API and Fireblocks NFT Dashboard.
Lea from the Fireblocks Experts

Slava Serebrianniy
As the developer relations lead and previously leading the Solutions Engineering team at Fireblocks, the largest institutional blockchain infrastructure provider, Slava has engaged with hundreds of Blockchain Architects.
These interactions, ranging from small startups to large fintech and Web2 companies entering the blockchain space, have provided him with a deep understanding of the role and its challenges.
He worked closely with these architects to understand their needs, to help them to design and build their use case in the most efficient, secure and robust way possible and eventually digested their feedback and work methodologies into our product by working closely with the relevant internal teams.

Shahar Madar
As Vice President of Security and Trust Products, Shahar brings over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity R&D and product management. At Fireblocks, he oversees a global team of engineers, product managers, and security researchers focused on protecting Fireblocks’ customers from both current and emerging security threats.
Shahar’s responsibilities include ensuring the highest standards of security, providing full visibility of operations, and implementing robust security mechanisms to prevent and detect attacks effectively.
Shahar’s passion for technology and security began at a young age when he started as a hobbyist developer, building and modifying computer games. This interest led him to Unit 8200 of the Israeli Military Intelligence Corps, where he served for eight years, ultimately founding and leading a team of 25 security researchers as Director of Security Research.
Before joining Fireblocks, Shahar was the Vice President of Products at Paragon, a mobile security company, where he developed and scaled innovative security products.
Shahar is a co-founder and vice chairman of the Crypto ISAC, an industry-wide organization focused on enhancing security and resilience within the blockchain ecosystem by facilitating threat intelligence sharing.

Arik Galansky
As VP of Technology, Arik leads the technology research and innovation group in Fireblocks, working on the next frontier of Fireblocks products and technologies as the company scales massively in its core business.
He has spent the last 20 years building deep tech products in a variety of companies (4-person teams to large bureaucratic organizations) and a variety of roles (developer to VP R&D to VP Technology) while constantly focusing on creating bottom-line and customer impact and paradigm shifts in the company’s technology and operation.
